Live Line Washing Insulators of Power Lines

HeliTecnics is global provider of trainings and specialized services with helicopters in power lines.
One of these services is the live line washing strings.

The environmental pollution, salt in coastal areas, pesticides and atmospheric dust in agricultural fields, etc, reduce the dielectric properties of the insulators strings, causing serious problems of power disconnection, as well as, great losses economic, without forgetting the damage caused by users.

With the washing of insulator strings these problems are eliminated, being very effective a preventive and corrective method to prolong the life of insulators, conserving the 100% of their properties according to our own clients says. One further UV inspection – corona effect – will detect all isolators that must be changed.

HeliTecnics has more than 15 years of experience realizing this type of work in countries around the world like Spain, Cyprus, Greece, South Korea, France, Algeria, etc., and with an experience in more than 150.000 strings washed of 66, 132, 220, 400 and 500kV power lines. HeliTecnics has developed and improved an effective procedure of washing techniques during these years of experience, which one we share during the training.

Washing insulators strings with our helicopters AS350B3 and MD500 with C20R turbine allows access to the lines in all types of zones and configurations. Is a quickly preventive method, effective and economic. In only one day we can clean 1.200 strings of 66kV, 800 strings of 220kV and 600 strings of 400kV.

We have ISO 9001:2000 certification in this type of work and we follow the international quality, safety and environmental standards as a member of IEEE.

We have an International Training Center for washing insulators works for pilots, operators and ground staff. In our Training Center also we give trainings in exhaustive inspections of power lines. This training also is given in the country of the customer.

We realize other type of works such as repair power lines, corona effect detection by UV, thermography inspections, digital scanning of power lines, anomalies register data, energy efficiency studies in buildings and towns, etc.
